The Algebra Word Problems course teaches students to use “logic” as an approach to solving problems, providing "tips and techniques'' for identifying key words and solving word problems. The focus is on practical application and techniques for using math in everyday life situations. Courses are developed to be incrementally more difficult with each level adding specific knowledge and skill to the previous lesson. Students will build skill and confidence in solving word problems through knowledge, practice, and using a simple and systematic approach.
Students will be given practice problems to complete during the class and should plan to spend 45 mins on homework for each class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
