In this class, we will explore a new way to look at Algebra. This can help struggling students to see Algebra in a new way and helps to increase their understanding of the subject on a deeper level. This class will provide students with a calm, patient learning environment with lots of support along the way! After a brief get to know you period, we will begin our lesson. Students will increase their understanding of Algebra and all of Mathematics as we break down the steps into an easy to follow map that can be used throughout their math lessons. Students will also "see" the process of Algebra so that they can understand, on a deeper level, just what they are actually doing as they solve the problems.
I have taught Algebra and Geometry in Michigan's high schools for over 20 years and have a professional teaching certificate in the state of Michigan for Mathematics, Grades 7-12. My specialty is helping students who may feel confused and anxious about math.
