This class will teach students to graph lines on the x-y coordinate plane for algebra, find distance between points, interpret slope of a line, and find midpoints of line segments.

Description
Class Experience
Students will completely understand how to compute, recognize, and interpret rate of change in an equation (slope) and use that information to apply and make judgements in real life situations. A deeper understanding of slope, distance, and midpoints allow students to go beyond simple memorization and use critical thinking to apply their learning in a multitude of other studies (science, business, economics, marketing, finance, etc)
all guided practice will occur during the class with assigned independent practice along with solutions.
assessment will be informal during class.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
