The class will start with a 5 minute introduction then proceed to the review. This class will review solving one step, two step, as well as multi step equations and inequalities. Time allowing the class will also review solving linear equations, graphing linear equations, radicals, simplifying expressions and substituting. The class will utilize a you do we do method to provide immediate feedback to all learners. This class is run in a game like atmosphere of the instructor posting a problem, allowing students to first attempt then going through the problem step by step providing direct instruction in multiple approaches when necessary. By the end of the 45 minute session students will feel more confident about their ability to simplify and solve algebraic equations as shown by a post class practice quiz.
