US Grade 6 - 9
This class will focus on one of the foundation skills used in Algebra. The agenda for my class will be as followed: -Review of operations and the various forms they will be seen in mathematical expressions. -Introduce "GEMDAS" (Grouping Symbols, Exponents & Radicals, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction) -Simplify expressions by applying the order of operations. Solving the expressions will be done by the method of "I Do", "We Do", "You Do". What this means is the teacher will work out a problem while learner observes. Next, the teacher and learner will work out a problem together. Lastly, leaner will get to solve problems independently, and ask questions if they have any. -Exit Ticket to check student mastery
