The following is the schedule for what will be taught week by week in this algebra math class. Week 1- You will learn definitions in Algebra. You will learn how to solve linear equations with a single unknown. These equations will have integers as coefficients. Week 2- You will learn how to solve linear equations with a single unknown now with fractional coefficients. Week 3- You will learn what quadratic equations are and how to solve them. Practice problems will be given and solutions will be given in the following class for learners to check their answers.
Each learner should come to class prepared with a notebook and a pencil or a whiteboard and markers. A calculator can be used but learners are encouraged not to use it.
1 hour 40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
