This class is designed to loop through the concepts that are covered in the first half of Algebra. It is perfect for the learner that would like to brush up, gain confidence, and have some extra practice before moving into an Advanced Algebra or an Algebra B course. I am a licensed math teacher with 13 years of classroom experience teaching Pre-Algebra, Algebra and Geometry. The students will clarify their understanding of the skills covered in the first half of Algebra: identifying expressions, equations and functions; solving, graphing and writing linear equations and inequalities; and solving systems of equations.
I am a licensed mathematics teacher with 13 years of classroom experience teaching Pre-Algebra, Algebra and Geometry.
Students will be provided with an optional practice sheet with an answer key after each review session. Optional time outside of class is 30 to 60 minutes.
The students should have: -formatted notes printed (I will post prior to each class) - pencil - calculator - Whiteboard and marker (optional) for extra practice if time allows.
I will use formative assessment and targeted questioning to assess student's progress.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
