Each session will include: - A 15-minute live mini-lesson taught as a group - Collaborative group activities that mirror traditional classroom station work - A dynamic class-wide game to reinforce learning and promote critical thinking - Students will strengthen foundational Algebra 2 skills, deepen their mathematical reasoning, and build confidence for the upcoming school year! 📖 Topics Covered by Week: Week 1: Equations and Inequalities (linear, absolute value, radical) Week 2: Functions (notation, operations, inverses, and compositions) Week 3: Quadratic Functions and Complex Numbers Week 4: Polynomial Functions and Factoring Techniques Week 5: Rational Expressions and Equations Week 6: Exponential and Logarithmic Functions Week 7: Sequences and Series Week 8: Conic Sections (circles, ellipses, parabolas, hyperbolas) Week 9: Probability, Combinations, and Permutations Week 10: Introduction to Trigonometry and Course Review 🎯 Learning Objectives: By the end of the course, students will: - Solve a variety of algebraic equations and inequalities, including those with radicals and rational expressions. - Analyze and graph different types of functions including polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarithmic. - Understand and apply operations with complex numbers. - Solve real-world problems using exponential models and logarithms. - Work with sequences, series, and summation notation. - Explore conic sections through graphing and equation analysis. - Strengthen problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaborative skills in a dynamic, supportive setting. - Build readiness for full-year Algebra 2 coursework and advanced mathematical study. 🏡 Extended Learning at Home: Following each session, students will receive optional enrichment activities, including: - Art projects - Math puzzles - Family games - Project-based learning opportunities - These activities offer additional opportunities to reinforce concepts creatively and enjoyably at home!
