Students who have been present in class for at least 80% of the class sessions will receive an Algebra 2 certificate of completion at the end of the course. This does NOT include Unit 1, as Unit 1 is a Foundational Review unit and is not part of the learning topics for the course.Class Experience

Intermediate Level
Gain the Algebra knowledge that you need to be successful in future math courses. Algebra 2 is a foundational course for Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus and other STEM subjects. This course will increase your problem-solving, analysis and algebraic skills. This is an ongoing class that will meet twice a week and will cover the entire Algebra 2 curriculum. Since this is an ongoing course, you are welcome to join for those topics that you need and choose the weeks you wish to attend. This class is conducted using a general format of lecture, examples, and student practice. We will also use other online resources such as Desmos, DeltaMath, Google Slides, etc. to explore the conceptual understanding of the material. • Students need to have completed Algebra 1 in order to be successful in this course. • Students will receive links to printable class materials including: Notes, Assignments, Keys, Assessments, etc. These pages should be printed off and organized in a 3-ring binder for use in class. • Assignments must be completed in order to really grasp the material and be successful in the course. Students should plan on interacting with the teacher and completing the class assignments. Classes will meet twice per week on Tue/Thu. There are 2 class sections available, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Parents: If your student needs specific accommodations in order to be successful in the class, please communicate with me in advance so we can work together. Learning Goals
Graph and Analyze Functions, including: Absolute Value, Quadratics, Polynomial, Radical, Exponential, Logarithmic, and Rational.
Work with polynomials, including: Adding/Subtracting, Multiplying, Dividing (using Long Division and Synthetic Division), Factoring, and understanding Polynomial Theorems.
