Intermediate Level
This Full Course will cover major concepts of Algebra 2. We willl meet live 2 times per week for instruction, practice and questions in an interactive environment. I always say my classroom is a no fear zone. "I don't know" is a perfectly acceptable answer, and incorrect answers are a wonderful opportunity to talk about it some more. You are welcome to join at any time and attend for as many weeks as you need. @@@@@@ This full course section will begin in January 2025 and will continue until July 31. @@@@@@ The full course will begin again in August 2025 and run concurrent with the school year through May 2026. @@@@@@ My approach is to empower students to trust me that I am on their side. I want everyone to make positive strides in their understanding of math and the processes that we will learn together. We will work problems together step by step so that students wilI feel supported before they attempt problems on their own. Notetaking is essential because when you see it and you hear it AND YOU WRITE IT, your brain has multiple opportunities to start imprinting the concept. Homework sheets will also be provided. Problems that we work through together during class will be directly from the homework. Students should complete the homework sheets to reinforce what we have practiced during class time. Parents are encouraged to inquire of their students whether they are understanding the material. Students, who are enrolled in this course, may request to schedule a private session with me at a reduced cost if the parent feels their student needs additional help with a particular concept.
