Advanced Level
This course is designed to provide a comprehensive coverage of the advanced concepts in an Algebra 2 course. The first course covered Chapters 1-3. During this course we will get through the chapters 4, 5, & 6. Students will apply previous mathematical experiences to solve real world problems. Every class will follow a similar outline. All classes will begin with a short warm up. This could be skills that they may have previously learned before taking this course, or those that we have...
In this course students will continue to gain an understanding of Advanced Algebraic concepts. Students will reinforce the concepts that were learned in part 1 and introduce new concepts such as Polynomials and Polynomial Functions, Inverse and Radical Functions, and Exponential and Logarithmic Functions. This will prepare them for the final section of this comprehensive algebra 2 course.

Review will happen in the classroom if many students didn't understand the concept and a reteach needs to happen or there is a specific question.2 - 4 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Students will be assessed with a mid chapter quiz for all chapters and a test at the end of each topic. There will be a review and practice to ensure that students are learning what they are supposed to be learning.Grades Offered
Parents should be aware that this course is an advanced algebra course and students will be expected to have some knowledge of algebra skills. Please note: if there isn't anyone in attendance, there will not be a class recording. I will wait in the class for the first ten minutes. If no one arrives after that, I will leave. I will post notes of what was to be discussed during class. Two Third Party Resources may be used during this class. Kahoot is a fun and interactive tool that allows students to review a variety of topics in an engaging manner. No account is needed and it will only be used for review purposes. YouTube has many educational videos that can help support learning. Occasionally if there is a challenging topic and additional support may be needed, students will be provided with a link where they can view additional examples.
