Class Experience
Note: In order to finish Quarters 3 and 4 by August, the sessions that start in May will meet 3 times a week. Before taking this course, students should have taken Algebra Quarter 1 and 2 or their equivalent. I am a licensed high school math teacher with a Masters of Mathematics. I love teaching math and enjoy the learning journey with students.
Required homework, approximately 2 to 4 hours a week depending on student.
Curriculum will be provided from the instructor. A printer is required to print notes/assignments. A graphing calculator such as a TI-84 is recommended or else you can use an online graphing calculator such as Desmos or other apps. Paper, pencil, graph paper and if desired a whiteboard, marker and eraser to work out problems.
Learners will be provided assessments in the form of quizzes or unit tests. If you would like a grade for this course, please take the quizzes and unit tests, otherwise we will just use them to check understanding.
1 hour 50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
