Beginner - Advanced Level
This self-paced semester long course will cover the Algebra 1 Common Core Standards. Students who are already taking Algebra 1 can enroll for additional support and practice. Homeschooled students can enroll for the complete Algebra 1 curriculum. The suggested weekly schedule will include the following: Monday: Two lessons with video exposure and instruction of the concept will be posted. Students will be given assignments to complete by Friday. Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday: Students will work on their assignment on their own. They can message me for additional assistance during this time. Friday: Students will turn in assignments for the week. Optional resources will be provided to students who request extra practice with the concept. Students will be provided with individual feedback on their homework and assignments within 5 days of turning it in. Daily Lessons include: Entry Ticket/Spiral Review: Students will work on prior learned concepts. Lesson: Students will participate in the math lesson using interactive platforms such as Nearpod, Kahoot, and Desmos. Exit Ticket: Students will complete an exit ticket to show their understanding of the lesson. Homework: Students will be given a homework assignment to practice the new skill. These math lessons will integrate real-world and engaging topics. Students will be provided with several different options for homework every week which include visual, real world and concrete assignments.
