This 8-week course will cover the High School Algebra 1 Common Core Standards. This is a great opportunity for students to get additional help after school, and for homeschooled students to get math instruction for the year.

Description

Class Experience

This 8-week course will cover the Algebra 1 Common Core Standards. The topics will include the following:

Unit 6: Exponential Functions and Sequences

Week 1: Properties of Exponents, Radicals, and Rational Exponents
Week 2: Exponential Functions, Growth, and Decay
Week 3: Solving Exponential Equations
Week 4: Geometric and Recursive Sequences

Unit 7: Polynomial Equations and Factoring

Week 5: Adding, Subtracting, and Multiplying Polynomials
Week 6: Special Products of Polynomials and...

Taught by a certified high school math teacher.

Students will be provided several homework options after every lesson.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Nearpod
Kahoot
Gimkit

Instructors assess students using homework, quizzes, and unit assessments. These assessments will be graded and shared with families via Outschool, and instructors will provide a report card upon completion of the course.

1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.

All third-party tools are used to supplement learning and maximize engagement. No third-party tool will require login information.
