Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
I am a Texas certified teacher who was a High School teacher for 13 years and has been a college professor for 6 years. I have a Master’s in Mathematics Science and a second Master’s in Mathematics Education.
Homework will not be assigned, but additional practice questions with answers will be provided for the student to continue to practice.
There are no materials to purchase. All material will be available in the Outschool class, provided by teacher. We will be using FREE Open Educational Resources.
While the weekly quiz is optional, it is highly encourage to complete and submit. This will allow the teacher to assess the student progress in the course. In addition, the Weekly Thursday Challenge will allow students to practice SAT questions based on the topics for the week.
No live meetings, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
A few pieces of information: 1. There are no live classes, objectives and materials are posted every Monday 2. Materials build on previous lessons, so is important not to skip a lesson 3. While it is a FLEX course, students have assignments due every Sunday (Quiz) 4. When possible, a Thursday's SAT Challenge will be posted, it is based on lessons covered during the week 5. Students can always contact the teacher directly if there are any questions, I check my messages every evening 6. Individual feedback is also provided to submitted assignments 7. If you need a different starting date, let me know
