Description
Class Experience
As a person who struggled with math as a student, I can empathize with and relate to students as they try to learn new and difficult concepts. I display patience with the learners, give them time to respond, and offer encouragement for their efforts. This is a complete academic course covering lessons in the first half of Algebra 1. The goal is to cover 3 lessons each week. In this ongoing class, students will meet twice a week to learn and practice topics in the first half of Algebra 1....
I have been teaching math (as a classroom teacher and tutor) for 25+ years. As a person who struggled with math as a student, I can empathize with and relate to students as they try to learn new and difficult concepts. A lot of encouragement goes a long way.
After each class, learners should complete some of the practice exercises from each worksheet. The answers to each problem from the worksheet will be provided. This is a great way for learners and parents to check for understanding.
