Description

Class Experience

Since this is a class for age 4 to 8 years old, topics will be general. We will learn that Alexander Hamilton was born in the Caribbean. He fought in the Revolutionary War. Hamilton was the first Secretary of the Treasury under George Washington. We will also mention the reasons for the duel between Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr.
I have graduate hours in history and economics. I have tutored students in American history.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
I will mention that slavery was used on plantations in the Caribbean Island and in the Colonies. A young Hamilton witnessed the horrors of slavery while on the Caribbean Island. Alexander Hamilton opposed slavery.
We will read the book "I Can Read (Reading 2 With Help): Alexander Hamilton: A Plan for America" by Sarah Albee ISBN:9780062432902. You can find this book at Amazon or Walmart for $6.99.
