Class Experience

In this ongoing class twice a week we will learn basic Hebrew words and letters through games, activities, and crafts. This course is a continuation from the the "Alef-Bet Circle Time: Let's Learn Hebrew (One-Time Course).

We will begin each class with a welcome song in both English and Hebrew. We will go over everyone's names and practice saying good morning in Hebrew.

After we sing, we will play movement games using Hebrew words to practice integrating new words into our vocabulary. As time passes, children will begin to recognize these words and understand them without a translation. Make sure your child is in a space where they can move comfortably.

We will then learn a new Hebrew letter every class and complete a coloring sheet based on that letter and sound. This needs to be printed out prior to class. Children will need basic coloring supplies such as crayons, markers, or colored pencils to color them in.

Every class will end with a Hebrew goodbye song in which we say goodbye to our new friends. Shalom Chaverim!

*Please note that while we will be covering the letters in the order of the Alef-Bet, your child is welcome to join at any point! The order in which they learn their letters is not relevant to their success and each class will be easy for beginners to catch on.

The letters covered each class will be taught on the following weeks
Week 1: Alef and Bet/Vet
Week 2: Gimmel and Dalet
Week 3: Hay and Vav
Week 4: Zayin and Chet
Week 5: Tet and Yud
Week 6: Kaf/Chaf and Lamed
Week 7: Mem and Nun
Week 8: Samech and Ayin
Week 9: Pey/Phey and Tzadi
Week 10: Koof and Resh
Week 11: Shin/Sin and Tav
