Description
Class Experience
In this Grade 5, Al Gilbert Tap Dance Class, we will work our way through the Al Gilbert Barre Syllabus. Each exercise will be taught and then performed to the Tap Soundtrack. This is an advanced and fast paced class, some experience is required in order to successfully partake in the exercises as they will get progressively difficult as the class goes on. Tap shoes will be needed as well as a proper floor for tapping.
Week of September 3rd:
Week 1 - Exercises 1-5
1 -...Your child will learn beginner tap dance steps in a creative and positive learning environment. They will also learn short combinations which teaches various patterns. Dancing to music also teaches the student how to develop rhythm and musicality. And most of all, learn to have fun and enjoy movement!
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please make sure your child is in an area where they can move around freely. Also, having a water bottle nearby during class is encouraged. Students will want to be in comfortable clothes that they can easily move in and hair pulled back. By signing up for this class you should understand that when participating in any exercise or dance program, there is the possibility of physical injury. If you engage in these online dance classes, you agree that you do so at your own risk, are voluntarily participating in these activities, assume all risk of injury to yourself.
