In this multi-day class that meets once a week for two weeks, students will get to create their own owl by learning about the clay technique used to make clay slabs. From there, students can choose how to customize their owl by adding decorations and colors! Follow along as I have one camera on me and one on my hands so students can see me working as they learn! Class and teaching style is fairly casual allowing for chatting and conversation between steps. Students will have the opportunity to both build and paint their owl. Some clay/model magic/play-dough experience might be helpful but is not necessary!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Alanna Knight and I love teaching art! I'll be listing classes for drawing, clay, paper mache, and more! I've taught as an art teacher for five years before this and due to COVID concerns I have brought my teaching online for the time being. I'm so excited to get started with the possibilities of this new format and am so ready to meet and work with new students! I love to get students interested in art based on their interests - over the years, I've been able to make connections in the classroom using some of my "geekier" interests like Harry Potter, Pokemon, anime, dungeons and dragons, video games, and more!
