One of the most beloved classes of my students at school; air dry clay is a real people pleaser! This course will guide you through your favorite characters, objects, and foods. We will mold and shape smaller shapes before attaching them together; participants will be learning useful fine motor skills and patience! The nature of the material needs to be worked with right away, as it starts to dry once it comes into contact with air. This is class is structured so that learners can maximize...
Learners will see their favorite items come to life with ease, using malleable clay techniques on this quick-drying material. Items are made on a smaller scale, and will therefore enhance fine motor skills, and planning. These skills combined with creativity merge together in a finished product that is completed by the end of the class
Any Air dry clay in as many colors as the learner prefers ! Also recommended: toothpicks, and a surface to work on. This material doesn’t stain, but it does leave a residue.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Input and student progress reports are incorporated through out the lesson. This is an instructional based class with lots of room for leaner input. Completed, miniature sculptures by the end of the course will the best representation of the students’ mastery.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
