Welcome Aboard! Set sail for this weeklong camp runs Monday through Friday. Campers voyage across the dangerous sea and trek across the jungle island all while learning how to read a map, use prepositions, and learn compass points. Activities also include pirate crafts, singing, puzzles, pirate games, reading and discussions on the history of pirates. Shiver me timbers-do not miss out on the fun! Supplies needed: cost of camp takes this into account. Campers will engage with the themed lessons through discussions, question and answers, peer learning, presented information on slides, read, and face to face. Each day will follow this schedule on kid time Welcome and overview 3-5 minutes Daily focus 25-30 minutes Craft, puzzles, game, other enrichment 15-20 minutes Review and prepare for tomorrow 5-10 minutes Monday: pirate history, talk like a pirate, compass points and starting a pirate map Tuesday: reading a map, prepositions, trekking through the jungle, completing the pirate map Wednesday: pirate stories, pirate boat craft, Thursday: Pirate puzzles and games, making a pirate eye patch Friday: write our own pirate adventure, pirate craft

Supply List
Crayons, glue stick, markers, several sheets of plain white paper, scissors, brown paper shopping bag, two plain, basic white paper plates-no plastic coating or styrofoam, three thin popsciple sticks, 4 or 5 Cheerios, 1 piece of black or blown yarn about 10-12 inches, and contraction paper: 1 sheet black, 1 sheet brown, 1 sheet light blue, 1 sheet dark blue, 1 sheet black.

I served the Director of Ancillary Services tasked with planning and executing summer and winter camps at a PK-12 school. I hold a degree in Psychology and an MBA, a 150-hour master teacher certificate for teaching English as a second language courses and have served as a college counselor for almost 5 years advising students and families on the college acceptance process. I have taught middle school, have been an academic administrator in a Pre-K 12 school and was a founding director of a Learning Center.
