Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello!
My name is Deon Morter! I am from a small town in Ohio where I have a huge passion for all things agriculture, however I also enjoy road trips, exploring new places, hanging/ relaxing at home and spending time with family and friends. My current job is a pig farmer, where I get to work with helping sows bring new piglets into the world and caring for the young pigs, its a great job but can get a bit smelly at times.
As a former Agriculture Education teacher, I have a hands on approach to learning. I love trying to figure out things out my own and I want to help foster students ability to be curious and teach them how to go about growing that ability in them so they can be life long learners. Many of my lessons will include a hands on portion to the lesson, so we can fully understand what we are learning
If you have not guessed it yet all my classes will focus on the Agriculture Industry, from animals to plants and all the things in between. But don't worry if you have zero experience in Ag, because these classes are based for you! I will be teaching the basics in Agriculture so everyone can get a better understanding where their food comes from.
