Class experience
This is a one time interactive, open discussion, safety class about people smarts, stranger danger, and awareness. Students will learn safety measures to help stay safe and avoid strangers. We will discuss how to pay attention to our surroundings, who is a stranger, what to do if a stranger approaches, who are safe people and places, and what to do if lost. We will also, discuss what information is okay to give out and what information is not safe to give out. We will role play and act out...
Students will walk away from class with a better understanding of how to avoid strangers, why it is important to avoid strangers, and what to do if a stranger approaches.

This is a class about safety. We are going to role play and act out different scenarios. Class may sound loud, so students should not take it in the same room as someone sleeping. We will discuss safety measures such as learning their address and phone number in case of emergency. We will discuss creating a code word in case someone needs to pick them up from school in case of an emergency. Parents/ caregivers will need to do this with the learner at your own convenience.
I will post notes and additional resources after class. Some of the sources I used include but is not limited to the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and kidsmartz.org.
