Teaching Style: As a math tutor, I serve as a guide for learners as I help them to reach the solution on their own. Method: In my math tutoring, I meet the student where they are at. The topics that I teach will be personalized to each learner. I have listed several objectives, however, as examples of what we can work on together. Target audience: Children ages 3-12 In my lessons, younger learners are introduced to the world of numbers through playful activities and engaging stories. My goal is to build a strong foundation in basic math concepts while fostering a love for learning. My goal for my older students is to challenge and excite them with a more in-depth exploration of math concepts. In these tutoring sessions, I try to help students with critical thinking and application of mathematical ideas in everyday situations. When they understand why something is important or what it can be used for, they are more likely to care about learning. Example topics: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, percentages, ratios, proportions, solving equations and inequalities, graphing linear equations, working with polynomials and factoring, understanding functions, and exploring quadratic equations
