Class Experience

*ESL-friendly

Learners from all over the world are welcome to join in on the fun, regardless of what time it is for you!

Whether you go to a brick-and-mortar school or you homeschool or do distance education (including Outschool of course!) then this is the place for you.

Bring a snack, a drink, a joke, a story, a poem, a song, something to colour-in or draw with, a jigsaw puzzle, whatever makes you feel comfortable, and share it with your friends here - strangers are just friends that you haven't met yet (keeping in mind stranger-danger of course).

Learners will be encouraged to share something that they have learned or done that day or that week, and discuss current interests, however, if your learner prefers to just listen and comment accordingly on that which their classmates share, then that is fine too.

As the teacher, I will facilitate the discussion by asking initial questions to get the conversation started, such as introductions (without personal/identifying details) and "What did you do today?" or "What is your favourite book/movie?". The class/club will be learner-paced.

Although there are already plenty of absolutely fantastic socialising classes on Outschool, there are not currently any at this time of day, which suits this region of the world, and they are also not daily classes. Although this class is listed as "one-time" per section, it will be hosted most days in different sections, and learners should feel comfortable attending as often or as little as they like. As such, it is to be expected that there will be some regular learners, as well as new learners most days.

***Sections with less than 3 learners will be postponed.***
Learning Goals
Learners will practice their social skills such as taking turns, listening, asking questions, using names, sharing ideas, using good manners, respecting the opinions of others, recognising non-verbal cues, facial expressions, & the feelings of others.
