Class Experience

Students will follow a recipe, measure ingredients, and mix ingredients to make double chocolate chip pudding cookies.
I have a Generalist teacher certification for grades 4-8 from the state of Texas, as well as a science certification for grades 4-8, also from the state of Texas. I spent 5 years teaching science in a public school, and have spent the past 5 years teaching language arts, science, math, history, and geography in a private setting.
Not only have I hosted week long cooking camps in my home, but I help my own children, ages 11, 10, and 8, do lots of cooking and baking using these recipes.
Week 1 - Double Chocolate Pudding Cookies 1 cup margarine or margarine 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup sugar 1 3.4 ox instant vanilla pudding mix 2 eggs 1 tsp vanilla 2 1/4 cup flour 1 tsp baking soda 1/2 baking powder 1 cup chocolate chips 1 cup white chocolate chips
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will be using an electric mixer and oven. Parents need to monitor students according to their own students' ability. Parents need to review ingredient list and be aware of any potential allergens.
