This class is for students that may already have some knowledge of ASL and would like to keep up with their skills and become fluent. Students should already be familiar with the ASL alphabet, numbers, and key concepts. We will have weekly club meetings and each week there will be a fun engaging new topic or theme. Families are encouraged to enroll at any time and or stop the class whenever needed. Classes will meet up for 40 minutes each week and are ongoing classes until the student is...
1. To introduce themselves using their name signs.< week of Aug. 15> 2. To be able to recognize vocabulary words and fingerspelling. < week of Aug. 1> 3. To learn vocabulary words used in a typical morning routine. < week of Sept. 19> 4. To learn vocabulary words related to family & friends. < week of Sept 12> 5. To demonstrate how to ask yes/no and “wh-” questions. <week of Sept. 5> 6. To sign with more expression and fluency. <week of Sept. 26> 7. 40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
I will be using outside websites such as Google and Youtube to assist in learning, playing interactive games and tools to help manage slide show presentation, flash cards, videos and quiz games.
