In this ongoing course, we will learn the rhythms and black history of Capoeira by practicing traditional songs, instruments, and Portuguese from within the art form. Students are required to purchase appropriate instruments for this class.

Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
Students will primarily learn to play Berimbau and sing songs. They will also learn Brazilian Portuguese since Capoeira music is in Brazilian Portuguese.
Coach Eurico has been training Capoeira for well over 15 years and has been coaching for over 10. Capoeira is passed down to Coach Eurico thru his family’s lineage, and he learns directly today from his father, Mestre Senna, the founder of the Afro-Brazilian Capoeira Association Senavox. Coach Eurico’s grandfather is Mestre Carlos Senna, who was a figure that helped to legalize Capoeira in Brazil alongside the legendary Mestre Bimba.
