Students will explore, examine, and discuss the classic tales of Anansi the spider. The session features a story time read-along and discussion of the theme of the story, the history of the story, and ways that students could rewrite it or use it to inspire their own storytelling. My Professional Journey: Combining Education and Passion. I received a B.A. in Marketing and Management from Clark Atlanta University, and later transitioned from a career in Human Resources to the field of education. My passion for teaching grew as I developed and implemented STEAM, SEL, Project-based Learning, cultural, and literacy programs for Pre-K to 8th-grade students while working as an after-school teacher. I obtained my TEFL certification, which allowed me to teach students of all ages from around the world. Currently, I work as a high dosage tutor with a school district, helping students enhance their reading and comprehension skills. My teaching style aims to create a fun and engaging learning environment that inspires lifelong learning. When I am not teaching, I enjoy traveling, watching movies, and exploring my creative side. With 20 years of experience in teaching and creating educational programs, I enjoy my purpose and passion. I look forward to meeting you and your child and exploring fun and exciting learning topics together.
