Bring the flavors of Africa into your kitchen with this three-day course, filled with African goodness! In this course, students will learn how to prepare four popular street foods from Nigeria, Tanzania, and Cabo Verde. At the beginning of each class, we will do a quick review of the required equipment and ingredients for the class. I will do a step-by-step demonstration of the cooking process while students follow along. I will also check in with students at various stages to ensure we’re all at a good pace. I always provide opportunities and encourage students to ask questions. Please review the ingredients list and reach out to me with any concerns. For the safety of learners, parental supervision is advised. The class will use an oven, stovetop, knife, hot oil, and pans.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to prepare three African-inspired dishes to enjoy with family and friends.
