Animals include: Wild dog Black mamba Elephant Cheetah Lion Monkey Hippo Zebra Ostrich Rhino Giraffe Crocodile After learning each animal and yoga pose, we will listen to an interactive story where we will pretend to be these animals through the new pose we learned. Before classes begin, please make sure the student has a safe place to move around and be active. We will begin class sitting but students will be encourage to get up to perform the yoga moves for each animal. Remember that African animals yoga is designed to be a fun way to integrate movement into the day. Poses don't need to look perfect or exactly as described.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello Families!
My name is Alyssa Holst. I am a former public school teacher. I earned my bachelors degree in elementary education from Indiana University. I am licensed to teach prek-6th grade. I taught kindergarten for six years and then became a stay at home mom. I have two children; a three year old girl and 7 month old boy.
I love to teach through movement and play. Through play, children can discover their own interests, abilities and limitations; they imagine, investigate and explore. They develop memory skills, build vocabulary, and learn new skills and knowledge.
My classes will involve a lot of participation from your learner! We will move, play, and have fun learning together!
