Description
Class Experience
African Animals - Multi-Day Class 25 minutes Each class is laid out the same but with a different "star" animal each day. This class is made to be a discussion class. The students will be able to answer question, ask questions, and talk about prior knowledge they have on the topic. The first animal that we will learn about is the lion! Student will get to say one thing that they know about lions and talk about if they would want to be a lion or not and why. We will learn some basic...
Student will learn: the vocabulary predator, prey,carnivore, herbivore, facts about lions, giraffes, and zebras.
Students may choose to draw a picture or write a story about each animal. Students do not have to do this. This is optional extra work. Students can share their work in the next class.
Students can bring a paper and pencil if they want to write down some of the fun facts they learn. This is optional.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
At the end of each class we will discuss what we learned in that class. On the last day we will review what we learned. There is no formal assessment.
1 hour 15 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
