Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello!
I am Mrs. Vee! I currently work in a Pre-K classroom and am the owner of the Roots to Wings Preschool Services. I am also a wife, a mother, and a full-time student working on my second degree.
I have a BA degree and have worked as a Preschool/Pre-K teacher for the last 15 years for various agencies, including Developmental Day Programs, Head Start, and at Military Child Development Center.
I have been teaching on Outschool for two years and I offer Preschool related classes, Africian Americans in History classes, and Individualized tutoring.
I believe that early education should provide children with a strong foundation. By giving children a strong early childhood education we are setting them up to be successful learners.
All children learn differently, and my goal as their teacher is to assist my students in learning in a meaningful way. My classes incorporate visual props, movement, and hands-on activities. Oh, by the way, did I say fun? Fun is an essential part of keeping young learners engaged and excited.
My favorite quote:
"Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning. Play is the work of childhood." ~ Mr. Rogers
See you in class!
Mrs. Vee
