Students will listen to the book "Ida B. Wells, Let The Truth Be Told". As a class we will discuss themes of determination, courage, & injustice. They will complete an activist research template & share in the next class.
Class experience
Come listen and learn about the life of Ida B. Wells. We will discuss her bravery and contributions to society. Students will learn about the racial and gender discrimination she faced as a reporter. They will also learn about how her self determination and resilience allowed her to reach her goals of exposing injustices, specifically those impacting African Americans. Students will be given an activist research template & second class option where they can share their findings with peers. ...
