In this class, I will teach students about the amazing and talented black inventor, Garrett Morgan. They will learn about his early life, his career, and the inventions he created that we still use today. They will learn about why he is an important historical figure, and why we should never forget him. Students will learn about his contributions to society and how hard he worked to make life better/easier for others. We will have a discussion about how his inventions help us today. Students will be able They will be able to kindly express their thoughts and opinions on this topic. Taking this class will help students learn and understand about powerful black figures like Garrett Morgan, who worked hard to achieve goals and help others, even during a time when black people were not accepted in society. I am very excited to teach this class to students because many people do not know who invented the 3-  that we use everyday. I like to give all students time to speak, so sometimes this class may go over 5 mins.

Parental Guidance
While learning about Garret Morgan, we will briefly go over how difficult it was for black people to live in a time to where they were not accepted and taken seriously because of their skin color. We will briefly go over discrimination, segregation, and inequality.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
