This one-time class is great for young students who would like to learn more about the courageous Rosa Parks and what she did to help inspire change. This lesson will be about the history of Rosa Parks. I will be teaching about her life story, what she did, and the changes she helped make in the United States of America. Students will be able to understand why she is a very important and influential historic figure in the USA. We will have discussions about this topic. Each student will be able to interact and share their thoughts, opinions and feelings. Since this topic is related to African American history, we will have discussions about racism, inequality, Jim crow laws and injustice. Students will understand how this applied to Rosa Parks' life.
