Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
A life-long learner who has always been interested in sharing and mentoring others. My career has afforded me these opportunities through working in the public sector, private sector, academia, and entrepreneurship. My educational background includes a Bachelor of General Studies (University of Michigan-Ann Arbor), MA in Economics (Wayne State University-Detroit), MBA (University of Michigan-Ann Arbor), and PhD in Business (Capella University). My teaching experience has ranged from substitute teaching in all grade levels from PreK-12th grades, as well as 20 years of teaching experience at the university level. My college teaching experience covered principles of macro and micro-economics, principles of accounting, personal finance, and mathematics. I also am an Academic Coach for MBA students through Instructional Connections. LLC. My teaching philosophy includes thorough knowledge of the subject teaching, practical applications, fair and diverse grading tools, review of the subject matter prior to testing, timely feedback, and to the extent feasible a reasonable understanding of the student's educational and career goals and objectives. I am a "news junkie" and a big fan of soap operas.
