In this one time class, students will be introduced to the Atlantic, Pacific, Indian, Arctic, and Southern (Antarctic) Oceans. We will talk about the identifying characteristics of each and then take a virtual trip exploring them. We will meet many new animals on our adventure including sharks, octopuses, lobsters, whales, penguins, and sea urchins. We will talk about the importance of our oceans, and what we can do to protect our waters. This class is meant to provide an introduction to life under the sea. No prior knowledge is necessary. Let's go exploring together!
Learning Goals
Students will be able to name the 5 Oceans and several animals that live in each. Students will be introduced to pollution and learn valuable ways they can help protect our waters.
