This is an incredibly important course. Survival skills also build confidence, awareness, and mental agility. We will explore all of the areas of outdoor survival as lined out below. We will also use fun 'what if' scenarios to explore the importance of survival skills (Examples: How would you survive a Zombie Apocalypse? Or, How would you survive an earthquake and etc.). This is a CURRICULUM based course. There is also a 6-week course (not required) where everything is done in real time. What will be taught? Outdoor Survival Skills Emergency Survival Skills – Different methods of staying warm at night – Traditional water-finding techniques – How to catch fish with your hands – How to create fire with just sticks – Crafting techniques for primitive tools & Traps – How to make strong cordage using only plants – Locating and using wild edible and medicinal plants – Modern and traditional land navigation How is your class structured? Both Days will explore all of the topics listed above in an engaging interactive format. How will you teach? Although this will be a presentation based course, it will also require the student to attempt what is taught at home. It will be highly interactive course content, which will include videos, clips and slides. What's your teaching style? How much will learners get to interact with you and each other (mention specifics like: lecture, games, slides, video clips, discussion)? Any required experience or knowledge learners need?
