Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
By participating in this social group, students will improve on their conversation and public speaking skills. They will also be learning some tips and tricks from other Minecrafters.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
In this small group club, students will improve their social skills by actively participating in discussions led by the teacher. Each week, we will have a different theme or contest to focus on. While we will NOT be playing Minecraft during class, students may want to screenshot builds, player skins, and other images from the game, which may be shared during class and posted in the classroom.

As you may already know, Minecraft is rated E for children ages 10+. I've included some information from both the ESRB and Common Sense Media. Please see below:

According to the 'Entertaining Software Rating Board' (ESRB), Minecraft is suitable for users aged 10+. However, due to its 'Fantasy Violence,' the ESRB states that this rating has been given as "Players can engage in potentially violent acts."

If you have any questions, please reach out to me!
No outside resources are required to participate in class. Students will simply be using their background knowledge to talk about Minecraft.
