Class Experience
Do you absolutely love hockey? Do you want to share stories, watch videos and make new friends? Who doesn't? In this on-going class we will talk about everything hockey related. Each week we will start the class with a video showing off some amazing hockey skills. Next we will will share a trivia question. Then students will be able to share their stories about games or practices they've played in or watched! Everyone likes to share their own experiences and what a great way to make new...
Students will be learning how to interact with other students their age and how to speak in front of others.
I am a certified k-6th grade teacher and have been teaching classes for over 16 years. I have my level II certification from the state of PA. I have taught social clubs about many different topics in my brick and mortar schools. As far as my knowledge of hockey I have grown up in a big hockey family. My brother played hockey and while growing up I spent most of my weekends at the rink watching. I am a mom to an 8 year old hockey and have been the team manager for 3 years. I have been apart of many hockey discussions at the rink, with coaches, with other manager and hockey directors. In addition we are a billet family, which means each year we have hockey players live with us so that they have an opportunity to play for a local team. We are very involved in the the team that our billet son is on as well. My husband is a level 1 youth hockey coach and he also plays. We are at the rink at least 5 out of 7 days of the week, if not more. Hockey is a huge part of our life!
Students are encouraged to bring anything hockey related they want to share. It could be something from their own team and playing experiences or something they got when they've went to a game. We welcome all hockey goodies!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
