In my class, children are authors, not students. And we also giggle a lot. Being an author is both hard work and fun! In each session, we will do a deep dive into one aspect of creative writing. Topics will include descriptive writing, exploding the moment, bringing settings to life, and more. Creative writing involves imagination, logic, empathy, and skill. Students will learn to trust their own imaginations and they will gain confidence in their ability to express themselves through writing.
There is no homework as all work will be completed during class. However, students are always free to send me anything they would like me to read.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
