Sail the Seven Seas With Grieg's Music, Story, and Craft (Pre-K-2Nd Grade)
Class experience
Wake up very early in a morning and join Peer Gynt in his famous voyage... In the first part of the class, I will tell kids' version of Peer Gynt's story accompanied by the fragments of Edvard Grieg's suites. We will learn to listen to short segments of classical music and expect the "clues" from the music. We will learn some facts about Edvard Grieg. We will talk about music being loud and soft, fast and slow, exciting and sad.
Materials for craft: • Big Pine Cone or Paper towel (toilet paper) roll • Cotton Ball • Play Dough (Preferable in 4 Colors) • Piece of Cardboard (3.5 X 5 inches) • Glue (No Glue Stick!) • A Few Beads or Small Buttons (Optional)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
For the craft portion of the class, parental help is recommended for younger students.
