Ever since a kid, I have always been excited to explore and learn about a new country, culture, and its people. What made it more fun was how little I knew and so much I could learn in just a short time. In my 45min session I plan to cover the above through the lens of an average 6 year old - where and how far am I from the destination, how long will be my ride there, how can I learn a few new words of this country's language, what does the country flag look like, how do the people look, who...
Surely kids will learn much about the history and culture of 1.3Bn people of India. Also, it would be interesting to build a room to appreciate the differences that would broaden the horizons of the kids beyond the current space and time. This nurtures creativity, imagination and out-of-the-box thinking which we as adults often strive for every day.
Born and brought up in India, I hold a deep understanding of the culture and lifestyle in the country. Though I had been a city girl in India, but my travels through the villages, love for food, and the many festive adventures have further rooted my knowledge and behaviour of the people. My approach to teaching ensures the 65min class is no books. A fun engaging way to ensure maximum retention and application outside the classroom.
