Beginner Level
The class consists of two parts. In the first portion of the class, your student will listen to the fun story (created by the teacher) while exploring paintings by famous 20th century artists, like Henry Matisse, Marc Chagall, and Franz Marc. We will discuss how colors make us feel, and what they might reveal about the thoughts and feelings of the characters in paintings. Supply List: Any brightly colored Items, like following: • Playdough • Construction paper • Wrapping paper or tissue paper Also: • Cardboard cut out from cereal box or any similar box (optional) • Buttons, pompoms, beads, etc. (optional) • Glue • Small scissors • Scotch tape • Markers or crayons
For the craft portion of the class, parental guidance is required for younger students (ages 4-5) for the use of scissors and other materials. Parental guidance is recommended for older students (ages 6-7). Please note that as per Outschool policy, parents should remain off camera Thank you.
