Friendship is a big part of childhood and learning how to grow strong, and healthy friendships have lifelong benefits. In this class, students will explore many aspects of friendship. What does it mean to be a good friend? How can we be compassionate and empathetic to others but yet honour our boundaries? What qualities make a good friend to me? I have been practicing mindfulness for more than 15yrs and planting seeds of mindfulness in my own children since they were tiny. I feel it's crucial for kids to have the tools to emotionally navigate this world.
Handouts will be provided as needed. Some arts and crafts supplies may be needed but are to the discretion of the family. In the last class, children are asked to create a poster. It is up to you and your child as to what supplies are to be used for the project.
