Intermediate Level
Having a strong vocabulary is crucial to success in all other academic classes. In this vocabulary camp, each day is an educational experience that learners will enjoy! Students will learn many advanced vocabulary words in each lesson, the kinds of word that help them pass advance placement tests, and students will learn to make those words “their own” by practicing with and using the words to complete activities and games. They will explore root words, definitions, and how words are modified by prefixes and suffixes. Lessons are presented with engaging reading passages, and vivid images to illustrate the meaning of the vocabulary. Comprehension checks are built into each lesson, and class time provides opportunities for each student to ask questions and make inferences. Students will have printable resource documents for each lesson, and a set of post-class activities to work on after each lesson.
