Description

Class Experience

This is an advanced course. Learners in this course must have previously taken veterinary science courses on Outschool, or have previous veterinary knowledge from 4-H, camps, TV/books. 

In this course we will begin the first week with introductions, and course expectations. After that we will discuss what a vet may need in order to begin taking care of a patient. We will also explore the resources and other veterinary professionals a doctor counts on to care for and treat their patients....

Learners will learn critical thinking, organization and develop research skills.

My name is Denise Champagne and I am the the founder of Future Vet & Animal Science Academy. I have a MEd and am a certified veterinary technician with 30+ years in practice. I have been teaching in college programs in veterinary and equine programs for 10 years. I have been teaching veterinary and equine science courses on Outschool since 2017. 
I am passionate about providing all of my learners, with the same passion for animals, an inclusive environment for them to learn, grow and reach their goals! 
I look forward to working with your learner to continue their quest for knowledge!

Every other week learners will be assigned research on assigned topic options to be briefly presented to the class the following week. This is encouraged but not required.

Resource access (will be discussed in class)

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
