REGARDING CLASSES AFTER JULY 20, 2021. Thank you for your interest in my animation courses. I am pausing all LIVE animation classes (All FLEX animation classes will continue to run/be supported!) to rest, rebuild and add new courses for re-release in late 2021. I am happy to work with your kids asynchronously, signup for FLEX animation class here: https://tinyurl.com/y9hfjrxd

Thanks for your support!

----------------------------------

The 3rd and final course in my LIVE stop motion animation sequence is for students who have taken my Beginner and Intermediate level classes. Animators will learn new skills as well as be able to workshop their questions with the class to better integrate their technique and storytelling. The class will focus on LEGOs to learn new techniques like:

- LEGO Mini-figure walk cycles
- Searching and adding custom audio themes, sound effects from Youtube
- Making shadows follow figures to simulate speed
- How and why to use the onion skin tool
- Retiming sequences/movie speed tricks
- Convert a video clip into an animation, send via iMessage, and more!

At the end if there is time, Animators can upload or share some of their best work with other animators for constructive feedback either in the final moments of class or uploading to the Outschool classroom for vieing by others.

- All Learners need to have Stop Motion Studio Pro installed on their devices.
- Access to a Computer during the course is recommended but not required.

NOTE ON USE of a COMPUTER: A computer is recommended/required for the capture/processing and saving of audio files. This process will be shown on in the Apple Ecosystem as the overwhelmning majoriity of animators are using iOS devices. I have provided resources for Windows and Android computers, but due to the variability of configurations in PC/Android, users may have to tweak the workflow to work in their ecosystem. We will not be covering all the ways to transfer files as there is not enough time to cover email, bluetooth, etc.,if users have never used these before.

NOTES ON ANDROID ISSUES: The class will be done in the iOS version of the app. Android is very similar, but the variability in user settings, file locations and configurations make support for Android limited and parents and students need to be aware I cannot provide operating system specifics for Android machines which offer much more variability in terms of locations to save photos, etc..that complicate the workflows.

NOTE ON SAVING FILES IN ANDROID
As Android devices offer a more complicated set of permissions/options for saving images from Google image searches, students using Android devices will need to also make sure they have set the proper permissions and understand the workflow to be able to save images to their device and then import them into stop motion studio pro. Depending on the device, Android version and browser, this process can vary, which is why we cannot cover all these different possibilities in a short class. This will need to be practiced on the student’s own time if they are not familiar with how/where images are stored on their Android devices. The class slide deck provides screenshots and resources to help learn how to do this and students will be directed there rather than spending class time showing them how to approve their devices to allow photos to be used in other apps, etc..

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi! I'm Mr. Brady! My priority is always that every learner learn and have fun, and my classes are setup to remove the obstacles that prevent them from applying technology effectively to teach themselves and create independently; I help kids take action as thinkers, creators and innovators in their own right ON TOP of the mechanics of stop motion animation.

It makes a big difference for your child that I have over 15 years of classroom/IT lab experience teaching K-12 students and leading digital learning and STEAM programs in the US and top international schools. I hold a New York State Teaching Certification in Middle School Grades 5-9, and my Masters Degree is in Teaching Students with Disabilities. I welcome and can help ALL learners.
